How to create a booklet and print it in Word 2010 from A4 to A5

Many people ask me how to create a booklet in Word 2010

First remember to do your page layout. Open Word and select the Page Layout tab,
then click on the icon in the corner of Page Setup
to launch the Page Setup dialog.

In the Page Setup screen under Pages, change to Book fold
from the dropdown.

You might also want to change the Margins to 1cm
and the Gutter setting from 1.2cm.

Also, after selecting Book Fold Word automatically changes to Landscape Orientation.

Click OK after you’ve made your adjustments, and you’ll be able to get an idea of what your booklet will look like.

You can still add Headers and page numbers in the booklet.

HOW TO PRINT THE BOOKLETS

On the File tab, double click open the backstage view select Print.
Select your printer that you want to print from.

Depending on the type of printer you have, hopefully you can print both sides of the document.
If not do the following:
Select Setting

A drop down menu will appear and click Manually Print on Both Sides.

The printer will prompt you to print the other side.
Click Print.

  1. I am really impressed with your writing skills and also with the
layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?

Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to
see a great blog like this one today.

  2. You should take part in a contest for one of the highest quality sites online.
I most certainly will highly recommend this site!

  3. I had been looking for the same topic you have talked about here. This has really made my work easier.

  4. I had some trouble doing the conversion from cm to inches, but the old ‘bilingual’ ruler helped me with that.

What confused me even more was the way my file appeared to be portrait in its orientation, and with only one page showing at a time (nothing like the double-paged image depicted in ‘preview’).

But then, wow, when I hit print. Like magic, it worked!

Thank you. If you’re ever near Vancouver, I owe you a drink.
