Comparing Dreamweaver Static and Dynamic sites

There are two kinds of websites you can create in Dreamweaver static site where you build al of your pages on your computer then upload it to the server.
A dynamic site is in which all the pages are created from a database. The content is created when the user loads the pages of a search or some other request to accessing information.

Advantages of static web page

  • Easy to learn, no programming skills are required to create a static page.
  • Gives you complete control over each page.
  • Easy to test and publish to the web server.
  • No particular hosting requirements are necessary.

Disadvantages of static web pages.

  • Any personalization or interactivity has to run client-side (ie. in the browser), which is restricting.
  • Maintaining large numbers of static pages as files can be impractical without automated tools.

Advantages of dynamic site.

  • A large website does not require a lot of HTML files on the server. Instead, pages use templates and are created based on the data sent from the web browser. In the long run, this can save significant time and server space.
  • The information is stored in a database as opposed to being hard-coded into static pages.
  • This allows updates to be made more quickly.
  • Dynamic site allow for greater customization. Your server can create pages to match the requests, interests, and specifications of your individual visitors.

Disadvantages of dynamic site.

  • A Fewer or lower natural search rankings.
  • They are less likely to be indexed by search engines that “crawl” or “spider” websites
  • They put a load on the server you are running
  • Hosting costs a little more

  2. Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several
weeks of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?
