A great feature with Microsoft Word and Outlook action is quick parts

It’s a way to grab something to put it quickly into your E-mail
that you use very often like a response or closing remarks.

To get there you need to be in an E-mail.

Open the Home Tab
and select New E-mail.

Embed the sound file into your Word 2010 document.

You can add sound files such as CD tracks, mp3 files, and MIDI music files to a Word document 2010,
and you can use the Microsoft Sound Recorder to record messages and embed them in your Word file.
You can also add comment to your students’ papers;
it is enormous way for teaching and learning, or you may want send it to them.
To do it you need a sound recorder (This program is a utility that is installed with any standard Windows installation) and a microphone to make your recording.

You can find the Sound Recorder by clicking on Start…> Programs… > Accessories… > Entertainment…> Sound Recorder.
Go ahead – check it out – see if it’s there. It records sound in .wav format.
There are 2 ways to add sound to a Word document.
The first method will embed the sound file into your document.
The second method makes a link to the sound file that you create separately.
In this 2nd method, the sound file is not embedded into the Word file,
but rather, a link is created in the Word file which activates the sound file which is on your hard drive.

Method #1

Place your curser in the Word document where you want the player to appear in your document.

Embed your own movie into a Word Document

How to embed your own movie into a Microsoft Word document,
you must have a movie program such as Media Player —
a Microsoft Windows accessory that lets you play audio, video, or animation files —
and a sound card installed on your computer.

Placing your own movie into a Word Document is relative easy
and can make your document much more interactive and be useful.

Start by making a folder and place your video and your document in the same folder.
The two goes hand in hand with each other. (The one can’t work without each other.)

We have to use a Developer Tab.
If the Developer Tab in not on the ribbon you have to enable it.

How to pin a file to the Recent Documents list in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access that is frequently used.

By default, the Recent Documents list is generated automatically
by Word based on the documents that you open.
The list changes as you open different files.
However, if you frequently open a specific document,
you can pin it to the list.
By doing so, the document always remains on the
Recent Documents list until you remove it.

Click on the File Tab
to go to the Backstage View.
Click on Recent (You’ll notice that each document in the list has a pin icon beside it.)

Use mail merge to create and print letters and other documents

Mail merge is a useful tool that will allow you
to easily produce a set of documents,
such as a form letter that is sent to many customers.
Each document has the same kind of information,
yet some of the content is unique.
For example, in letters to your customers,
you can personalize each letter to
address each customer by name.
The information in each letter comes
from entries in a data source for example a spreadsheet.
If you already have an existing address list, good.
If not create the address list.
